The OGT-SA looks menacing with a multi-faceted hatchet blade. The blade starts with a heat-treated, hardened 1055 carbon steel that can be easily resharpened. The head features a hammer head and claw, and notched into the head are even more features, like hex sockets, gas valve shutoff fittings, demo grip teeth, and a Spanner wrench.
The handle is made from lightweight glass-filled nylon, and is ergonomically shaped. Inside the handle is a (replaceable) fold-out saw blade, which is handy for sawing larger logs that you can’t cut chop through. The handle of this survival axe also features a seat belt cutter and glass breaker.
If that isn’t enough, the whole kit and caboodle is lightweight, weighing only 1.5 pounds and is less than a foot long. Store this easily in a camping bag or hiking pack. The axe comes with a nylon sheath for storing and protection.
