This happened in my neck of the woods. Crazy how it worked out. Both couple will end up getting what they wanted so it has a really good ending.
On a side note, Hawksbill Crag is one of the most beautiful places in Arkansas (and the country). It is near the Buffalo River (American' first National River), and only a short 1.5-hour hike each way. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend it, especially in the spring or fall.

This is one of the most scenic places in Arkansas. I'm not a heights guy, and I have two young children, so I probably won't be going back for a while.
You can take a shortcut by cutting between two properties towards the end of the hike and basically walking about 1/2 mile (or less) up to it from the other direction. Just park by the mailbox with a bear on it, which is about 3/4 mile before the actual trailhead.
