Clark was quite the visionary. He was the first Sci Fi author I read.

Mr. Clark's discussion on how we can carry on as humans in a digital age resonates quite strongly today, but I still feel that we have a ways to go in that working and dealing with things remotely should be more of an emphasis than it is now. I'd expect that some of the biggest companies in the world would have truly embraced remote work and the idea of being able to live wherever we want and still have access to the things we need should have been an accepted part of everyday life. But, sadly even given how fast networks and computers are now this has still not come to fruition. I'm of the mind that this will change in the future but shifts of this magnitude take a great deal of time.
